Founded in 1971, the state-owned Pompallier Catholic College is a co-educational school of approx. 650 boys and girls from classes 7-13. The school owes its name to the famous French bishop Jean Baptiste Francois Pompallier. He visited the establishment in the 18th century during his stay on the North Island of New Zealand. Pompallier Catholic College acts conscientiously according to its school motto: Delicious Verum - Love the Truth! The Secondary College in the suburb of Maunu in Whangarei, New Zealand, warmly welcomes its guest students from around the world.

Location

Pompallier Catholic College is located approx. 150km from Auckland and only 5 minutes to the city of Whangarei. In the area, adventurous students can learn to dive and surf as well as kayak or just play beach volleyball. Studying in Pompallier means enjoying the peaceful surroundings in a small, safe community and soaking up Auckland's big city life, just 2 hours away. With a moderate climate and 100 beaches, there are numerous leisure opportunities!
